Ecology
The study of the relationships of living organisms with each other and with their abiotic environment
Habitat
The place where an organism lives

Community
A group of different species sharing the resources in an ecosystem

Population
All of the members of the same species living in an ecosystem

Ecosystem
Living organisms and their abiotic environment . Examples :grassland , woodland, rocky sea shore and bog.

Biosphere
The part of the Earth where organisms can live

Niche
The role of an organism in an ecosystem
It might be the activity period that one species has, say a morning feeder, that separates it from competition of another species, say an evening feeder.
Example 1:
Owls and red-tailed hawks live in the same habitat but owls hunt for mice at night and hawks hunt for mice during the day


Example 2:
Each of these birds live in the same habitat but each feed in a different way and therefore are not competing for the same food
